Having the appropriate Guild Wars 2 system requirements can make or break your personal experience playing Guild Wars 2. Put another way, having the right system requirements for Guild Wars 2 can increase the level of enjoyment and pleasure that you can experience when you play this game. Personally, I like to make sure that I not only meet the minimum system requirements when I play a game, but that I also reach the recommended system requirements when I play a game. After all, we all know that the recommended system requirements are what your PC should really satisfy to get the most optimal experience while playing any game.

I can’t stress enough, though, that, at the time of this writing, the Guild Wars 2 system requirements have not been officially finalized or determined by the developer, ArenaNet. In other words, what follows will only be a best-guess scenario of the kinds of system requirements you need to fully enjoy Guild Wars 2. However, even a best-guess speculation provides some value because you will get a reasonable sense of guidance regarding what you kind of PC system you should have to properly play Guild Wars 2.

First up are the minimum system requirements, based on information provided by a host of reputable websites:

Minimum System Requirements:

Microsoft Windows XP / Vista / 7

2.8 GHz CPU

1 GB of RAM

NVIDIA GeForce 7600 / ATI Radeon X700

5 GB of Hard Disk space

CD-ROM drive

16-bit Sound Card

Broadband Internet Connection

As you can see, the minimum Guild Wars 2 system requirements are not that taxing on your PC system at all. Still, though, keep in mind that these minimum system requirements, as the name clearly says, are only the bare necessities that you must have in order to play Guild Wars 2 on your PC. Having these minimum system requirements will not provide you with the optimal experience of playing Guild Wars 2.

Next up are the recommended system requirements, again, provided by a host of reputable websites:

Recommended System Specifications:

Microsoft Windows Vista / 7

Dual Core CPU 2.0 GHz

2 GB of RAM

NVIDIA GeForce 8800 / ATI Radeon HD 3850

5 GB of Hard Disk space

CD-ROM drive

16-bit Sound Card

Broadband Internet Connection

As you can see, these recommended system requirements are clearly greater than the minimum system requirements, which means that Guild Wars 2 will run more efficiently on your PC when you meet the recommended system requirements.

Another thing about Guild Wars 2 is that the release date is not very definite. This is something that has personally frustrated me because I want to be able to play this game sooner rather than later, as you will understand. Still, at this point, all that we know is that the game will be released sometime in 2012, yet we have absolutely no details concerning the exact day or the exact month of this 2012 release. However, what I did was preorder Guild Wars 2 from the Amazon website. I did this to give me peace of mind that I will have the game no matter what happens in the future! If you want to preorder it, too, you can at this link HERE!

If you do not have the right Guild Wars 2 system requirements, it means that you either will not be able to play this game to its fullest extent or that you will not be able to play this game at all. Before you get too excited about playing Guild Wars 2, check your PC to make sure that it can handle said requirements.

Some of the most interesting aspects to Guild Wars 2 are the various Guild Wars 2 classes that are available to players. I know that the graphics are important, just as the actual gameplay is important, but you cannot tell me that these various character classes are not very attractive aspects of this game! What I specifically enjoy about the various classes in this game is how diverse they are and, as a result, how they provide players with a very interesting selection. This is clearly not something that a lot of other games can say.

Basically, as the player, you can divide the Guild Wars 2 classes into the following groupings of both race and profession. The first group is made up of the humans, the asura, the charr, the norn and the sylvari, while the second group consists of the warrior, the ranger, the thief, the elementalist, the necromancer and the guardian. You have to know that you will not be able to pick among the above, various classes at the same time; you will only be able to pick the profession of your character after you have already picked its race! Let us look at the various classes in this sweet game a little bit more closely.

Let us have a peek at the races, first. The humans are favored by the gods, and they are also great at tactical fighting. Having battled in a lot of wars throughout the years, they have endured Ascalon’s invasion by the fierce charr race. The asura, on the other hand, have a reputation for being great builders of everything from shields to weapons. While this race is quite tiny, they are famed for their intellect, which is actually sharper than that of any other race. Now, the charr are the warlike race of all of the Guild Wars 2 classes, what with their penchant to brawl and to feature both an aggressive attack and defense. If you are playing as other races, beware of the ferocious claws and fangs of this race! The norn have a unique combination: They are known for shape-shifting as well as brute force, which you may not really expect in the same race. Shape-shifting for this race is particularly useful and interesting, as they can turn themselves into bears, wolves and snow leopards. Finally, the sylvari specialize in magic, and they possess deep connection to the land and to the animals.

As for the professions, first up are guardians. Guardians feature spirit weapons and wards, and they can wield a hammer or staff that defends their ally party. Rangers are skilled at setting traps and charming animals while warriors are known for strong armor and savage attacks, thanks to their adrenaline. Elementalists can control natural forces like water, air earth and fire (and, no, they are not Captain Planet!). Necromancers are highly intriguing since they can use dark magic to use the dead to kill their enemies! Finally, thieves are valued for both their surprise and stealth, being able to set traps and shadow-step.

Well, if this rundown of the various Guild Wars 2 classes is not enough to convince you to buy Guild Wars 2, nothing will! Because the release date for this game is sometime in 2012 (day and month not known yet), I have already preordered my copy, and I suggest you do the same. Click Here to Pre-Order Guild Wars 2! I am disappointed that Guild Wars 2 is not out right now, but I am heartened that it will eventually be out later on in 2012, and for that, I can’t wait.

As a fan of Guild Wars 2, you probably like the Guild Wars 2 gameplay more than all of the other elements that make a game truly great and also enjoyable. Sure, factors like the graphics matter, and things like the multiplayer options matter a whole lot, too, but when it gets right down to it, one of the most attractive features of a game such as Guild Wars 2 is indeed the gameplay, which I want to talk about a little bit more here.

I have no idea whether you have heard this about Guild Wars 2 gameplay or not, but this sequel actually will utilize a severely modified form of the game engine that ArenaNet came up with for the original Guild Wars. Here are some examples of these all-important modifications to said game engine, which will be very important to the gameplay of Guild Wars 2. The severe modifications are 3D environments in real-time, better animation along with improve graphics, and the ability to employ something called the Havok physics system. I have heard that the developer, ArenaNet, is now stating that this overhaul of the game engine finally “does justice” to the famous concept art of this game series. Further, the developer has also come out with a statement promising to integrate this concept art into the manner in which the story is communicated to players.

When you get to play Guild Wars 2, you will immediately note that you’ll get the opportunity to make your own character out of a mix eight professions as well as five races. The five races are comprised of the sylvari, the humans, the norn, the asura and the charr. The eight professions consist of three, distinct classes of armor, which are soldiers (who have heavy armor), adventurers (who have medium armor) and scholars (who have light armor). The eight professions are the warrior, the elementalist, the necromancer, the ranger, the thief, the guardian, the mesmer and the engineer.

It is beyond a shadow of a doubt that all of these gameplay elements make the Guild Wars 2 gameplay just amazing. However, it might still take a little bit of additional time before you can enjoy all of these characters and experience them in the world of Guild Wars 2. The reason has to do with the release date of this game, which is quite undefined at this point. Sure, we know that the game is slated to be released sometime in 2012, yet that is unfortunately all that we know at the moment. We have no definite release information with regard to the actual day or the actual month in 2012. This is a nuisance to be sure, but I have coped with it by going ahead and pre-ordering Guild Wars 2. I just want to make sure that I do not miss the release date and that I will have a copy of the game waiting for me. If you want to go ahead and pre-order Guild Wars 2 also, you can do so at this link on the Amazon website: http://www.amazon.com/Guild-Wars-2-Pc/dp/B001TOQ8X4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1331087657&sr=8-1.

One of the biggest reasons to pre-order this game is obviously the Guild Wars 2 gameplay, and you can see how exciting it is based upon the highly complicated classes of characters that are available to you. Personally, I cannot wait to make my own character in this game and then test my skills against gamers from all around the globe. It is just too bad that I will have to wait until later in 2012 to play Guild Wars 2, but you know what they say about all good things: Good things are worth waiting for!

I have some Guild Wars 2 release date news for you right now, but for those of you who want to play this game sooner rather than later, said news is not all that good, unfortunately. First of all, though, you can rest easy that this game will be out this year in 2012; this was confirmed not too long ago. Back in January of 2012, the president and the co-founder of ArenaNet, which you may know better as the developer of Guild Wars 2, stated that it would be coming out later this year. So you have at least that to be thankful for! However, though, the bad news is that, at the time of this writing, anyway, the exact day and the exact month of the release of Guild Wars 2 is not known.

Even though the unspecific Guild Wars 2 release date could mean that this game is released near the end of the year or in the summer, I want you to know why this game still does not have a specified release date. At the moment, Guild Wars 2 is currently undergoing its beta phase. You probably know what a beta phase of game development is, but just in case you somehow do not, let me briefly get into it here. The beta phase is when the developer, ArenaNet in this case, has a small number of select few people try out its game to make sure that all bugs and glitches are discovered. In essence, this is to make sure that, when the game is released to the general public, it does not contain any of those bugs and glitches because that could hurt sales by angering fans.

According to a blog entry that was posted by none other than Mike O’Brien back in January of 2012, ArenaNet is moving toward holding bigger and bigger beta events with more and more testers. This is all done in order to slowly but surely move toward the eventual Guild Wars 2 release date later in the year. You may recognize the name of Mike O’Brien if you have played Guild Wars; he is of course both the president as well as one of the co-founders of the developer, ArenaNet.

I know that you are sick of waiting, and I am, too. However, I thought of something to make sure that, at least, I will be guaranteed to be playing Guild Wars 2 when it does come out. I am talking about pre-ordering the game, something which I have already done at Amazon. The online retailer has a special webpage devoted to pre-orders of Guild Wars 2, so if you are a little bit anxious about the Guild Wars 2 release date, you can pre-order it! Click HERE! I do suggest that you go ahead and pre-order Guild Wars 2, if you do not want to be left out in the cold when it does come out.

So there you have it: While it is total drag that Guild Wars 2 does not have a proper release date, at least the Guild Wars 2 release date will be slated for 2012. I know that is little to no consolation at all for those of you who have been dying for Guild Wars 2 to finally be released! However, if you pre-order this highly anticipated game, you can at least be sure that you will be playing it as soon as it gets released. As the game goes through further levels of beta testing development, we can at least be sure that it will have no bugs when it is released.

The Guild Wars 2 beta phase is still currently underway, which, if you are a real, hardcore Guild Wars 2 fan, should make you cry out in frustration. Ahhhhhh! After all, if you are anything like me, you desperately want to play this game that has been such a long time in the making. However, the team behind the creation and the development of this sweet sequel to Guild Wars has other ideas. Unfortunately, the beta stage is still underway, though the slightly good news is that the game is moving closer and closer to final completion.

Now, it is almost like I can hear how you are groaning loudly and clearly when it comes to the release date news concerning Guild Wars 2. If you have not heard already, here is the news surrounding Guild Wars 2’s release date: It will be out sometime this year, in 2012. I know that is not good enough because we fans want to have specifics! C’mon developer ArenaNet. Let us have a specific day and month in 2012. This may only be cold comfort, but at least it will be out later this year…for sure.

As I mentioned above, though, the Guild Wars 2 beta phase is still going on right now as I write this. I have this news straight from the horse’s mouth, so to speak, and that would be none other than Mike O’Brien, whom you already probably know is the president and one of the founders of ArenaNet, Guild Wars 2’s developer. He posted a blog entry back in January 2012, and it mentioned then that the 1st closed beta test of Guild Wars 2 had just concluded. While this may sound like the game is going to be nearer to a definitive release date, what it actually means is that ArenaNet is still going to do additional beta testing…just larger and more expansive ones, according to O’Brien. For example, in February 2012, the developer invited the press to actually take part in the beta testing, and the company has future plans in March and April 2012 to enlarge the magnitude of the beta testing so that more players can participate.

However, even though the current Guild Wars 2 beta phase means we will have to wait longer to play this game, it is not that much of a bad thing. As you may know, a beta phase just means that the developer has a small number of people testing out its hot, new game, primarily to ensure that it is flawless and running smoothly when it is sold to the public. So if this means that, when I get my hands on this game, it will not have any glitches or bugs in it that will disrupt my enjoyment of it, I am all for doing the Guild Wars 2 beta phase as long as it takes!

Since we do not have an official day and month of the 2012 release date, I am going to go ahead and pre-order Guild Wars 2. I want to advise you to do exactly the same, as too many people may purchase this game when it comes out due to the overwhelming popularity of this series. If you do feel like going ahead and pre-ordering this game now!

What else can I say about this game? It is still in its Guild Wars 2 beta phase, and I am super-excited to get to play it when it finally comes out. Sadly for me and all the other Guild Wars series fans, the release date is still going to be later in 2012.

One of the coolest things about games is that you can sign up to be a beta tester, as you can with regard to the Guild Wars 2 beta sign up. You may not know this at the moment, but the beta test stage of the game development process of Guild Wars 2 is currently underway. This is a prolonged and months-long process that the developer of Guild Wars 2, which is ArenaNet, conducts in various instances. For example, back in January of 2012, the first round of smaller and closed beta tests just wrapped up. This is not the end of the beta tests, though.

ArenaNet has big plans for additional beta tests as the year progresses. For example, in February of 2012, they invited a few members of the press to see what all the hubbub over their beta tests was about. Beyond that—to be more specific, in the months of March and April of 2012—the developer has plans to expand the size and the scope of their beta tests, essentially opening them up to a greater number of testers. All of this activity on Guild Wars 2 is evidence that ordinary players such as yourself can take part in the Guild Wars 2 beta sign up, where, hopefully, you can be selected to be a part of these beta tests.

If you do not know yet, the beta testing is meant to provide all of us gamers with a very beneficial outcome. In essence, beta testing is done to find and then subsequently eliminate all of the still-existing bugs and glitches in the Guild Wars 2 game at this point in its game development. Who wants to put down money on a game that is full of bugs and glitches anyway? No one! And that is exactly why ArenaNet is currently busy on this ever-enlarging round of beta tests, beta tests that you can be a part of if you go through the Guild Wars 2 beta sign up! Do not get your hopes up too much, though, as clearly the vast majority of players and applicants will not be selected to take part in these aforementioned beta tests. However, if you have a really large passion for Guild Wars 2 and games in general, then being a beta tester is just perfect for you, without a doubt.

Me, on the other hand, I like to do something else with my time; I like to preorder highly anticipated games such as Guild Wars 2 because I do not want to risk not having a copy when it is released, due to the demand for it. So you want to know just what I did, do you? Well, I took the step of actually preordering this sweet game, and I advise you to do the exact, same thing. It is easier than ever these days because you can preorder at websites such as Amazon, and here is the link: Click Here!

One reason that I want to preorder Guild Wars 2 is because the release date for this highly anticipated game is still unknown. Oh, sure, the developer has announced that the release will be in 2012. But when exactly in 2012? What day and what month, exactly? That is the problem with ArenaNet; all it said was 2012, and nothing else. That the Guild Wars 2 beta sign up is still going on is precisely because of this delay in the release date of the game! However, I suppose it is better to be safe than sorry and make sure that all bugs are caught before ArenaNet releases this game!

The Guild Wars 2 release date is, at the time of this writing, still unknown. However, ArenaNet, developer of Guild Wars 2, has set down 2012 as the release date of Guild Wars 2. However, as of right now, the exact release date—I am talking about the exact day and the exact month in 2012—is still being kept under wraps by the developer. Still, though, that is not to say that nothing is happening in the world of Guild Wars 2—not in the slightest! The reason that ArenaNet has already come out—in January 2012—with a promise to release this MMORPG later in 2012 is because it is aggressively moving toward completing the game and making sure that it is playable.

Back in January 2012, a blog post appeared on the ArenaNet website, written by none other than Mike O’Brien who is, as you may know, the president of ArenaNet and also the leader of the design team of Guild Wars 2. On this blog entry, O’Brien called 2012 “The Year of the Dragon,” which was a crystal clear reference to Guild Wars 2 being released later on in 2012. That is obviously good news—at least now I can rest assured that I can get to play it later this year—but I still wish the release of this game was sooner.

That said, there is a very good reason why this game still does not have a Guild Wars 2 release date. According to the O’Brien blog entry from January 2012, Guild Wars 2 just completed its very first beta test that was closed. If you know anything about games, you know that a beta test is the part of the game development process that is very important to the people like you and me who want to play games. A best test is the part of the development process that makes sure that as many bugs and glitches as possible are discovered in the game and removed as soon as possible. In other words, without this crucial part of the game development process, you and I would be subject to bug after bug when we would play Guild Wars 2!

O’Brien has also promised us Guild Wars 2 fans that more and more movement toward a completed version of this game is just around the corner. In the same blog entry, he said that February of 2012 would see select press invited to take part in the beta testing, and March of 2012 and April of 2012 would see a greater number of players invited to beta testing events! If you are itching to be one of the select few who will be invited to a Guild Wars 2 beta event, you can just keep up to date with ArenaNet announcements that are to be found on its official website, blog and even Facebook webpage.

Sadly, though, the reality of the matter is that the majority of us Guild Wars 2 fans are never going to be picked to be beta testers; that is just the way the cookie crumbles. While I know how upsetting that can be, I have decided to do the next best thing. Even though I probably will not be picked to take part in an upcoming Guild Wars 2 beta testing event, I still have gone ahead and pre-ordered Guild Wars 2 for later in 2012.

If you want to go ahead and pre-order Guild Wars 2, which I am really recommending you should, you are in luck because Amazon has a webpage already set up to take any pre-orders for this game, right now. I think that it is the best course of action to go ahead and pre-order a game like this, as you do not know how many people will swarm to buy it when it the Guild Wars 2 release date finally hits later on in 2012! If you are like me, you believe that there is absolutely nothing worse than waiting for an awesome video game to be released, only not to be able to play it when it comes out because you failed to order it ahead of time.

This MMORPG is still currently in development by ArenaNet, which is a bummer of sorts, as I want to play it right away. I can’t wait to explore the world of Tyra and see how the Destiny’s Edge angle of reemergence is treated by the developers. Even though the Guild Wars 2 release date is still a ways of and later in 2012, I am very excited for this release. I hope that this game’s unique feature—its storyline that will supposedly be responsive to my actions as a player—will be worth the wait.
